ExWHUemployee is of the opinion that West Ham United have submitted an offer for Genk defender Joakim Maehle.
The club insider made the claim on Tuesday night after Hammers boss David Moyes revealed that his side had submitted another offer for an unnamed player as they close in on a deal for Tomas Soucek.
ExWHUemployee was asked whether the London club were likely to put in a bid for Maehle before the end of the January window, to which he replied that an offer was already potentially on the table.
The 22-year-old joined Genk from AaB in 2017 and has made 109 appearances for his current side in all competitions, contributing five goals and 18 assists.
A Denmark Under-21 international, Maehle played in all six of Genk’s Champions League group matches earlier this season, featuring on two occasions against the European champions Liverpool.
Did he really play for us?! No West Ham fan has managed to name all of these obscure Irons signings….
And a club insider has suggested that West Ham have put an offer on the table for a defender who has four league assists to his name this term:
Meanwhile, a number of West Ham fans have reacted to a suggestion that this player could soon be on his way out of the club.
