Ander Herrera was arguably Manchester United’s best, or at least most consistent, player during the 2017-18 campaign.
The midfielder made 50 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils last season, and he has developed into a fans favourite with his all-action performances.
It would be fair to say that the Spaniard has struggled for consistency this term, however, only managing one assist and no goals in 17 Premier League appearances.
The 28-year-old, who is valued at £27m by transfermarkt.co.uk, was a part of the Man United team that won 2-0 at Everton on New Year’s Day, but his performance was criticised in a number of quarters.
Now it seems that some of the club’s fans are turning on the midfielder following some indifferent performances over the last few weeks.
Herrera’s personality and desire means that he is also a very popular member of the Man United dressing room, but his long-term future at the club is unclear.
