Mark Noble has divided West Ham United fans over the last couple of seasons, with many questioning whether he still has much to offer the team.
On occasions this season, the club captain has been dropped to the substitutes bench by manager Slaven Bilic.
On Wednesday night, though, the midfielder started against Tottenham Hotspur in a Carabao Cup tie at Wembley.
After going two goals down in the first half, the Hammers responded by scoring three times and sealing a dramatic 3-2 victory on away soil.
Andre Ayew netted twice, while Angelo Ogbonna also got in on the action to help push the East London outfit into the quarter-finals of the competition.
Noble, who was slammed by supporters last season for claiming that his critics do not understand the game, has seemingly won back some fans.
West Ham’s following were quick to praise the 30-year-old on Twitter during the post-match celebrations.
