We all saw the tragic scenes at White Hart Lane on Saturday as Fabrice Muamba slumped to the ground following his cardiac arrest, and the whole of football has been rightfully shocked. It was a terrible situation and one you would never expect to see in any walk of life, let alone a football pitch.
The physios, doctors, St John Ambulance and both set of supporters were absolutely fantastic in their reaction to the incident, with the medical team in particular doing a fabulous job in doing enough to get the Bolton midfielder in the hands of the specialists at the London Chest Clinic. The latest update this morning is that Muamba is in stable condition but remains critically ill.
